Compounded semaglutide

NextMeds review

NextMeds sells compounded semaglutide as a membership, and the one-month plan runs $79, billed once a calendar month. Visits, medication, supplies and shipping are all inside that figure, and NextMeds says it doesn't rise with your dose. Read the refund terms first: payment is final the moment you submit it.

Is it right for you?

Worth a look if

  • You want the pharmacies named before you buy. NextMeds lists four of them.
  • You'd like to pay with FSA funds, which NextMeds accepts.
  • You live in Alaska or Hawaii, since NextMeds serves all 50 states.

Skip it if

  • You want the option of a refund if you change your mind after paying.
  • You'd rather pay only once a provider has approved you.

What's included

The one-month semaglutide plan is $79 a month. NextMeds says that covers the consultation, ongoing care, the medication, supplies, shipping and support, with the same price every month at every dose. Plans of 3, 6 and 12 months lower the monthly rate, and the 12-month one lowers it a lot.

NextMeds runs the platform and billing. Clinical care comes from OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, PC, and its affiliated practices. Four independent 503A compounding pharmacies fill prescriptions: RedRock Pharmacy in Utah, Health Warehouse in Kentucky, Precision Medicine in New York and Triad Rx in Alabama.

Members get unlimited check-ins and a 24/7 support line. Delivery is free and ships in discreet packaging.

From sign-up to refills

  1. Choose a plan and pay. The membership starts when your payment goes through.
  2. Complete the free health intake: height, weight, goal weight, date of birth and a medical history screen.
  3. A licensed OpenLoop provider reviews it, by live video or asynchronously depending on your state's telehealth rules.
  4. If treatment is appropriate, the prescription goes to a partner pharmacy. NextMeds puts processing and delivery at about 4 to 5 business days.
  5. The plan renews each month until you cancel through support or your patient portal.

What isn't

  • You pay before the OpenLoop provider has looked at your intake.
  • Cancellation has to reach NextMeds at least 72 hours before your next billing date.

Read these terms first

If you're not approved
A medical disqualification is the only refund route. You get back the unused part of the current term, minus consultations and reviews already done.
Timing a cancellation
Send it at least 72 hours before the next billing date. A request inside that window still gets charged for the next cycle.
Longer plans
The 3, 6 and 12 month plans are sold as one indivisible purchase. No part of them is refunded if you stop early.

Common questions about NextMeds

Is NextMeds legit?
NextMeds is a technology and billing platform. Licensed providers at OpenLoop Healthcare Partners, PC, make every prescribing decision, and state-licensed 503A pharmacies fill the orders. Its compounded semaglutide isn't Wegovy or Ozempic and isn't FDA-approved, which NextMeds says on its own site.
How much is NextMeds semaglutide per month?
$79 a month on the one-month plan, with the same price at every dose. Longer plans cost less per month but are paid as a single purchase.
Does NextMeds take insurance?
No. It's a self-pay membership and no insurance is needed. NextMeds says the plan is FSA eligible.
Can you cancel NextMeds?
Yes, at any time, through patient support or your online account. Get the request in at least 72 hours before your next billing date. Canceling stops future charges but doesn't refund what you've already paid.
