The manufacturer’s direct page lists an original price of $1349.02 and a saving that brings it down. The ongoing out-of-pocket rate it states is $349 a month, at every strength on the selector — 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.7, 2.4 and 7.2 mg.
That flatness is itself worth noting. The brand charges the same at the starting dose as at the maintenance dose, which a good deal of the compounded market does not — see price by dose.
The $199 is an introductory rate1
The number the page leads with is $199, and it is the number its structured data publishes to every price comparison engine that reads the page — an AggregateOffer whose low and high price are both $199.00.
The footnote underneath says what it actually is: the first two monthly fills, and only at the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg strengths — the page's own footnote states $349/month after that.
