Is it right for you?

Worth a look if

  • You care what form of semaglutide goes into the vial. NiceRx says its pharmacies use the base form, not salts.
  • You want a face-to-face video visit rather than a questionnaire-only review.
  • You'd prefer a subscription you can pause to a later date.

Skip it if

  • You're in Alaska, Kansas, Mississippi or New Jersey, which NiceRx doesn't serve.
  • You'd like to see a named pharmacy before paying.

What's included

After the discounted first month, semaglutide is $199 a month. The FAQ lists what that covers: the medication, shipping, syringes, your first provider visit and one follow-up visit a month. The dose doesn't change the price.

NiceRx says its partner pharmacies compound semaglutide in its base form rather than as a salt. You get a multi-dose vial and syringes, and you inject once a week in the stomach, thigh or upper arm. NiceRx reports potency, sterility, pH and endotoxin tests on its medication.

Membership is by subscription. Beside the no-commitment monthly plan, NiceRx offers longer-commitment plans with discounted pricing.

From sign-up to refills

  1. Answer the online health quiz, which NiceRx says takes about two minutes.
  2. If you qualify, check out. NiceRx places an authorization on your card instead of charging it.
  3. Pick a time for your video appointment. The link arrives by email.
  4. Once your prescription is approved, the card is billed and the order ships on a weekday, usually arriving within 5 business days.
  5. NiceRx times each refill from your prescribed dose so the next vial arrives before you run out.

What's good, what isn't

What's good

  • The FAQ says NiceRx's partner pharmacies use semaglutide base form, not semaglutide salts.
  • At $199 a month, a monthly follow-up visit and syringes are included whatever dose you're on.
  • If your NiceRx provider doesn't approve you, the card authorization is canceled and nothing is charged.

What isn't

  • Semaglutide isn't available to residents of Alaska, Kansas, Mississippi or New Jersey.
  • The pharmacy that prepares NiceRx semaglutide isn't identified anywhere on the site.
  • Returns aren't accepted, and NiceRx treats every dispensed order as final.
